Welcome to my first ever blog posting!!! Have you ever felt happy in your life, but felt like you have lost a sense of who you are? Over the next few months I am looking to “find” myself again. Sure I am a wife, mother, childcare provider, daughter and friend, but I have put my own likes and interest on hold to fulfill all those roles.
I’ll start with a little bit about me. My husband Gavino and I have been together for a little over 12yrs. We have 3 gorgeous children together. Our son Quintyn is 11, Addysyn our oldest daughter is 9, our youngest Brynlyn is almost 13.5 months and we are expecting our 4th and last any day now. Her name will be Rozalyn. ♥
We live in a small Midwestern town in Iowa, where everyone knows everyone. It can seem a little small at times but it is a great place to be raising our children. We know all of our neighbors and are in walking distance of pretty much anywhere in town.
I’m an in home childcare provider, next month will be the start of my 5th yr being home! I love seeing our older children off to school and being here when they get home everyday. I’ve yet to miss a single thing that Brynlyn has done.
Before working from home I worked for my Dad’s HVAC company for 2yrs- 2yrs that I will cherish forever. I got to work with my Dad and Brother everyday and saw my sister most days. My mom kept her sanity by not working with us. lol!! My Dad passed away this past October, so having those memories of working with him are really important to me. Working with you family everyday is not always sunshine and rainbows, but it is worth it in the end.
I was also a cosmetologist for 7-8yrs. I enjoyed it, but it is not where my passion in life was. I was really good at what I did, but it is a job that quite often goes unappreciated. I did meet some wonderful people in that part of my life though and I do really enjoy doing my own hair and makeup. 😉
A few months ago, I joined an amazing company called Maelle. Maelle is a high quality make up company. Joining Maelle is what inspired me to “find” myself again. Over the last few months I have gained some amazing, beautiful, empowering friends in my life. They are my #MaelleFamily.
Maelle has also given me my self-confidence back. When you work out of your home and start your work day before 6:30a, you can get into a rut of ponytail/buns and minimal makeup. Since joining Maelle I put on a full face every day and style my hair (most days).
Our company is going into a few months of maintenance mode right now, getting ready for a relaunch later this Summer. We are using this time to do lots of training on our products, working on some self improvement, branding ourselves and training new mentors that are ready to come aboard at relaunch. I am also using this time to reboot myself take up some of my old interest… I have a pretty crafty mind, so you will have to see what I come up with!!!
